George Liasis is a Partner with EY Cyprus, currently leading the Indirect Tax sub-service line of EY Cyprus. He specializes in VAT and other indirect tax matters, with specialisation in the VAT issues of the Banking and Financial sector, Insurance, Funds, Real Estate but also government and public.

Together with his team are active in Tax and Legal Education and specifically on Indirect Tax and VAT topics. George joined Ernst & Young Cyprus Limited in 2016 servicing clients throughout Cyprus. He is a member of ACCA, the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Cyprus (ICPAC) and currently Vice President of the VAT Committee of ICPAC. He holds a Master of Laws (LLM) in European and International Taxation with specific focus on VAT.

George focuses on delivering the highest quality of service to clients by obtaining a robust understanding of their business and mode of operations, being close to clients and easily accessible at all times in order to meet client needs and respond both timely and accurately.

Having worked in the indirect tax department of a Big 4 firm in Cyprus and Greece, George had the chance to handle a variety of projects covering in its entirety the VAT spectrum with his client service base ranging from small private companies to large multinational corporations across many different industries and sectors of the economy.
