Christiana Loizou joined KPMG in 2005. She is now a Senior Legal Associate at KPMG Law (Theodorides, Georgiou, Iacovou & Co LLC) based in Nicosia. She earned her Law degree from Lancaster University (UK) in 1992 and was admitted to the Cyprus Bar in 1995.

Christiana has over two decades of experience in the fields of financial services legislation and regulation, corporate and commercial law. She has advised numerous corporate clients providing detailed analysis of corporate governance and compliance matters. She specialises in all aspects of corporate restructuring, due diligence and contract drafting related to acquisitions, joint ventures and mergers.

Christiana has also worked on authorisation requirements and ongoing obligations for a wide range of financial institutions, including insurance companies, insurance intermediaries, and banks. Additionally, she has provided advice on organisational and conduct-of-business requirements applicable to regulated financial activities in Cyprus.
