Ioannis Sidiropoulos is a qualified advocate and legal consultant. He holds two LL.M degrees, from the London School of Economics (Corporate and Commercial Law, 2015) and from the University of Amsterdam (International Trade and Investments, 2017), having graduated from the Law School of the Democritus University of Thrace in 2014. He has, also, received certifications from the University of Oxford (History of Economic Thought, 2016) and the Athens University of Economics and Business (Accounting, 2017).

Ioannis is an associate at the law firm Elias Neocleous and Co LLC. He was admitted to the Athens Bar Association in 2017 and the Cyprus Bar Association in 2019. He has been involved in a range of commercial, corporate, banking, insolvency, and energy law matters, assisting in transactions involving international law firms, institutional financiers and international commercial and development banks (including the World Bank, the EBRD and the EIB). In addition, he has taken up the role of the coordinator of the firm’s PR-Publications team, producing legal analysis material, dealing with issues of legal marketing and preparing various presentations of the firm’s services for the media.

He also worked as a research assistant in a major program of the European Law Institute and is, currently, an academic fellow at the Law School of Leiden University, with a research focus on alternative methods of corporate rescue that can be used under conditions of macroeconomic adversities.

He has consistently kept up to date with the developments in his field of expertise and participated in many professional seminars in relation to contract drafting, company law, insolvency law and other business-related topics.
