Maria Christophi is the Regulatory & Capital Risk Management Advisor of the Risk Management Division of Bank of Cyprus Plc.

She started her career in 1995 with Deloitte & Touche in Nicosia where she qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant. In 1999 she moved to the banking sector, starting her extensive career in risk management. She worked in Credit Risk Management in Cyprus Popular Bank and since 2009 she held the position of Head Capital Risk Management responsible for the implementation of the Basel Accords’ regulatory framework. She held the same position in Bank of Cyprus since 2013.

She studied Management (BSc) at Lancaster University.
