Natasa is an environmental scientist with 13 years of experience in waste management, teaching and environmental consulting in the UK and Cyprus. She is an Associate member of the Institute of Environmental Science (IES). She served as lead Soils Controller at Veolia UK and Environmental Consultant at C&P Environmental, responsible for the assessment and disposal of hazardous, non-hazardous and restoration soils for landfills in the UK, reviewing and reporting on soil compliance and industrial waste based on WM3 guidance and tax compliance. During her time at these companies, she was involved in several projects including the preparation of a soil treatment facility for organic contaminated soils, the introduction of various waste streams into the restoration process of a landfill and initiated a process of re-issuing restoration guidelines and procedure for landfills based on ‘Sludge to Land’ regulations and WM3 UK guidance, while she also had to train and manage all new members of staff.
She assisted in the preparation of a consultation on the Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions reporting draft regulations for quoted companies, as well as a consultation for the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) second G4 Public Comment Period. Additionally, she contributed in organising a Sustainability Assembly to develop increased environmental awareness within the accounting profession at the ICAEW. Natasa also has teaching experience for young individuals and adults, following extensive research and training in special and middle education, having organized multiple social and environmental events with students.
