Introducing the Centre for Good Governance

The Need for Good Governance

Good governance is an essential tool for any organisation striving for success, seeking to achieve operational efficiency, transparency, and credibility, and aiming to build trust and productive relations among its stakeholders. When good governance practices are applied, an organisation’s full potential may be more easily realised, while opportunities for corruption and mismanagement are drastically reduced.

The need for good governance applies equally to both the public and private sectors, covering everything from private entities and corporations to public organisations, state agencies and the government. Additionally, this need also extends beyond the national level to include multinational corporations and international organisations.

Who We Are and What We Do

The CGG is a Centre established under EIMF, an academic institution that is a leading provider in professional education. The Centre, in response to the need for good governance practices, has shaped its goals and objectives accordingly. Operating as an outward focused, multi-disciplinary research and policy centre, the CGG aims to contribute to the improvement of governance across the region and the development of capacity building within organisations, by utilising a range of professional, research, educational, and practical tools. Furthermore, the Centre is strongly committed to promoting fair and ethical behaviour, highlighting the necessity for sustainable growth while striving for better economic, social, and environmental performance.
