Participants will be aware of the basic provisions of the GDPR Regulation and be able to implement policies and procedures within the framework of the articles of the GDPR Regulation.

Seminar will support participants to:

At the knowledge level:

• list the rights of individuals and the basic principles of the Regulation
• define the legal basis for processing
• know their obligations and responsibilities vis-à-vis the individuals whose data are processed

At skill level

• create an Activity File and complete (where necessary) their new activities
• carry out the process of processing requests
• list the main stages of leakage management
• establish a data retention policy

At professional level

• adapt to the requirements of the Regulation
• support the role of the Data Protection Officer
• appreciate the protection measures in place and contribute with their attitude to their implementation
• support management in the adoption of protection measures

Mrs. Eleni Antoniou

Eleni has been working for Areti Charidemou & Associates LLC acting as the Personal Data Protection Officer for the past 7 years, She is a Member of the Board of European Association for the Protection of Personal Data.

Eleni is fully trained on the GDPR Regulation, and as a trainer with 12 years of teaching experience. She has been performing trainings & presentations on relevant matters raising awareness, as well as advising companies and organizations on GDPR compliance, drafting and reviewing Policies and Procedures adhered by the GDPR Regulation, risk assessment advices on possible breaches and leaks.

As part of her work and with the aim of promoting a culture on data protection, she provides seminars to organisations, so that employees will be educated in the basic principles and rights of the Regulation and be able to follow the relevant policies and procedures. Thus, her professional career combines the knowledge related to her educational training with that of the professional role she serves. She has been a Data Protection Officer the last three years, and this has made her understand how catalytic professional recognition is. As a trainer with more than 12 years of experience in teaching, she believes that only through life – learning we will be able to improve our professional performance and remain competitive in an era of technological evolution.
