Financial Technology (in short FinTech) is part of our everyday life both for our professional/business and personal affairs. Fintech is disrupting and challenging the financial sector. New, emerging, and cutting-edge technologies such as blockchain, artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), big data and analytics are used in financial services to develop solutions that assist investors, consumers, and financial institutions. Today, fintech applications have gone mainstream, bringing innovation to traditional financial services, enabling financial institutions to deliver financial services, consumers to consume financial services and investors to invest in a faster, cheaper, more innovative, efficient, and human-centred way than ever before.
FinTech is here to stay. The growing interest in FinTech manifests at all levels and players within the financial and professional services industry. Both large and small companies, incumbents and technology-reliant start-ups leverage different technologies to provide enhanced and innovative financial services and products. With the increasing and unprecedented impact of digitalization, innovation and technology development on financial services, the relevant regulatory framework changes and adapts to accommodate the new state of affairs. This results in large and complex legal and regulatory frameworks. Thus, this developing financial services landscape and these new, technology-based business models require constant and strong legal and technical knowledge.

Training Style
The programme is designed to provide a deep explanation of the financial services technology industry which disrupts the traditional financial services industry. Participants will gain knowledge mainly via live online sessions supported by power-point presentations. At the end of the programme, participants will have the opportunity to pose questions and further discuss during the Q&A session.
CPD Recognition
This programme may be approved for up to 7 CPD units in Financial Regulation. Eligibility criteria and CPD Units are verified directly by your association, regulator or other bodies which you hold membership.
For the CySEC requirements, CPD units attained from this course should not exceed the 50% of the total CPD Units of each individual.
