This year, the Conference will focus on four main pillars:

GEORGE MALEKKOS

Vice-President of CITEA - CEO & Software Innovation Architect, Powersoft

George Malekkos is a Software Innovation Architect dedicated to accelerating the cloud’s successful adoption and leveraging AI and data analytics for transformative solutions. He is the CEO & founder of Powersoft Cyprus, a company that has won numerous awards, including 2 gold awards in computerized accounting and the innovation award from OEB. George is a keynote speaker for cloud computing, AI, data analytics, futurist speeches on digital transformation, and motivating youth. George is currently the Vice President of CITEA (Cyprus Information Technology Enterprises Association) and a member of the CSCC (Cloud Standards Customer Council). As a guest lecturer and train-the-trainer for professors at all major universities in Cyprus for Computerized Accounting, his participation in European projects is vast. In addition, he was one of the 30 members of the Digital Advisory Council of Digital Europe. George's expertise includes spearheading projects in the retail industry using AI and data analytics to drive digital transformation. His work in this area has led to significant advancements in predictive analytics, customer behaviour insights, and inventory optimization. He mentors and judges several Start-up competitions in Cyprus and abroad like Digital Champion Cyprus, Hackathon, Microsoft Imagine Cup, EYA - European Youth Award, Watify, and lately, he is a national expert for World Summit Awards, an organization for digital innovation from 180 countries.

DEMETRIS NISSIOTIS

President of Cyprus Information Technology Enterprises Association (CITEA)

Demetris Nissiotis is a seasoned ICT professional and executive, with over 25 years of experience in diverse roles across the industry. He has acquired valuable insights of the trends and advancements in the international ICT arena and has a deep understanding of the unique ICT environment in Cyprus, including the initiatives, developments, limitations and challenges that local organizations and technology enterprises encounter.  Throughout his career, Demetris has been actively involved in numerous large-scale, mission-critical digital transformation projects for prominent organizations both in Cyprus and abroad. With a proven track record of success in the public and private sectors, Demetris and his team have consistently delivered effective and efficient digital solutions, enabling clients to achieve their business objectives. Demetris earned his BSc degree in Computer Science from the University of Cyprus and has been a key member of NetU Consultants Ltd since 1997, where he currently serves as CEO. He is the President of the Cyprus Information Technology Enterprises Association (CITEA) and a member of the Board of Directors of Cyprus Employers & Industrialists Federation (OEB).

DR NICODEMOS DAMIANOU

Deputy Minister of Research, Innovation and Digital Policy

Dr Nicodemos Damianou is the Deputy Minister of Research, Innovation and Digital Policy of the Republic of Cyprus. He holds a Sc.B Degree in Computer Science from Brown University USA, a Ph.D in Computer Security & Policy-based Management of enterprise-wide Computer Networks from Imperial College UK, a Diploma of Information Security from Imperial College, and an MBA from the University of Cyprus. He is an IT and Information Security professional with many years of experience in Payment Systems and Fintech, Risk Management Methodologies and Digital Transformation Technologies. He served at managerial positions within the Bank of Cyprus Group. From November 2017 to January 2024 he was the General Manager of JCC Payment Systems Ltd.

MICHAEL NICOLAOU

CEO, CDMA Services Ltd

With over 20 years in the telecommunications and ISP industry, I specialize in network security, voice, and mobile services. My experience includes a significant role as Video Engineering Manager at Vodafone UK, where I leaded the OTT TV and advanced CDN integrations. Currently, as CEO of CDMA Services Ltd, I lead the development of innovative security solutions, emphasizing emerging technologies and collaborative growth. I am passionate about mentoring and continuously advancing cybersecurity to protect and enhance business operations.

WIEM SABBAGH

Director, Global Leader of Data & AI Consult, Kyndryl

Wiem Sabbagh is a Global Leader of Data & AI Consult at Kyndryl. She leads the Data & AI Advisory and Implementation services, and global capabilities & investments in GenAI and Data Foundations. She has joined Kyndryl from CMA CGM, a global leader in Shipping & Logistics, where she supported the Digital & Data Transformation. She has extensive experience in Strategy Consulting, where she started her career at Accenture Strategy, identifying and seizing growth opportunities, and optimizing business performance. Wiem also has a background in government and the public sector, where she advised on policy development, and digital transformation. She is fluent in English, and French, and has a Master's degree in Statistical Modelling for Finance and Big Data.

DAVOOD SHAMSI

Executive Director, JPMorgan Chase

Davood Shamsi serves as the Executive Director of AI at JPMorgan Chase, where he applies his extensive background in artificial intelligence to real-world business applications. Before his current role, Davood honed his skills at industry giants such as Apple, Yahoo, and Verizon, leading projects that bridged the gap between vast datasets, optimization, and machine learning techniques. He earned his PhD from Stanford University, specializing in large-scale computational optimization with a strong focus on AI and ML, equipping him with a unique blend of academic and practical knowledge to navigate the intersection of AI and business strategy.

DANIELE QUERCIA

Director of Responsible AI, Nokia Bell Labs, Cambridge, UK

Daniele Quercia is Director of Responsible AI at Nokia Bell Labs Cambridge (UK) and Professor of Urban Informatics at the Center for Urban Science and Progress (CUSP) at King’s College London. He has been named one of Fortune magazine’s 2014 Data All-Stars, and spoke about “happy maps” at TED. He was Research Scientist at Yahoo Labs, a Horizon senior researcher at the University of Cambridge, and Postdoctoral Associate at the department of Urban Studies and Planning at MIT. He received his PhD from UC London.

Michael Tyrimos

Michael is the Founder and Managing Director of the technology consulting firm Capacitor Partners. He holds extensive experience in product management from his previous positions in Silicon Valley, California and Europe. He is an investor in Ergodotisi.com, Kodika.io, and other ventures. Michael is a graduate of King’s College London, Oxford University and Cambridge University. He is a recipient of the O1 Visa for Extraordinary Abilities by the United States Government; 40 under 40 Disruptor Award in the field of Technology/Research by CCCI; Associateship of King’s College London; and the Fellowship of the Royal Society of Arts, Trades and Commerce. He is also the co-founder of Cypriot Enterprise Link, a non-profit organization focusing on matters of entrepreneurial policy.

DR CELIA HADJICHRISTODOULOU

Founder and Managing Director, GrantXpert Consulting Ltd

Celia is the Founder and Managing Director of GrantXpert Consulting. Her company specializes in providing consulting and training services in relation to EU funding programmes, having secured over 40 million euros in funding since 2009. Celia graduated with First Class Honours in Accounting and Finance from the LSE in 2003. She earned her MPhil in Management Studies from the University of Cambridge in 2004. In 2013, she completed her PhD studies at the Management School of the University of Sheffield. Celia is an accredited HRDA trainer and she conducts interactive courses on topics like “Accessing EU and National Funding,” “Boosting Leadership, Employability and Entrepreneurial Skills” and “Developing and Promoting Managers into Effective Leaders”. For the last 16 years, she has served as a Visiting Lecturer at local Business Schools (EUC, CIIM, CIM), on entrepreneurship development, professional career development and strategy. Furthermore, she is the Administrative Director at the Future Skills Hub of the European University Cyprus. Celia received the Madame Figaro “Businesswoman of the Year Award” in 2018. Since is also recognised as one of LinkedIn’s Top Voices in Leadership Development.

VASILIS IOANNOU

Head of Customer Service Unit, ECOMMBX Ltd

Vasilis is the Business Units Junior Director of ECOMMBX Ltd. He is currently leading the customer onboarding and customer service units of the Company, being responsible for onboarding prospective customers as well as servicing the needs of existing customers, ensuring a smooth customer journey throughout. Prior to ECOMMBX, Vasilis was a Manager in Risk, Compliance and Regulation Advisory at PwC Cyprus, leading a number of projects for financial services firms, focusing on AML and regulatory compliance, as well as digital transformation, business planning and corporate strategy. Previously Vasilis worked within the International Banking Services division of Bank of Cyprus, in front line and AML compliance positions. Vasilis is a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS), holds the CySEC Advanced Certification, and is a member of ACCA, ICPAC and ACAMS.

Vasilis Charalambous is a Senior Lawyer at George Z. Georgiou & Associates LLC and the Head of GZG Tech, advising public and private sector clients on emerging technologies including Blockchain, Cryptocurrencies, Artificial Intelligence and personal data issues. He is the president of the Technology Committee of the Cyprus Bar Association and a member of the International Association for Trusted Blockchain Applications (INATBA) and the Tech London Advocates Blockchain Legal and Regulatory Group. He is a regular speaker at conferences and seminars and writes for various publications on topics related to innovation and technology.

Before joining Zyxel in 2008, Michel Nicolai studied Electronics & Computer Science and worked for several years in IT for various specialized IT distributors. At Zyxel, he started as a Product Manager for the BeNeLux region and moved five years later to the position of Customer Support Manager for several regions in EMEA. Since 2019, he has been the Senior Regional Sales Engineer for Northern Europe & Middle East Region in EMEA. Recently, and also became the Team Leader for the EMEA Sales Engineers Team.
