SFTR Overview Blueprint: Understanding SFTR Compliance for EU Securities Financing Transactions
- Χρηματοοικ. Ασφαλιστικά Τραπεζικά
ΠΕΡΙΓΡΑΦΗ
The Securities Financing Transactions Regulation (SFTR) is a pivotal regulatory framework governing repo and securities financing transactions (repos, securities lending, margin lending) within the European Union. It mandates the accurate, timely reporting of transaction details to enhance transparency and mitigate systemic risks in the financial markets, no matter how limited their activity.
SFTR consists of three key pillars:
- Reporting Obligation
- Collateral Reuse Requirements
- Transparency to Fund Investors Requirements
By requiring comprehensive reporting and disclosure, as well as collateral reuse related controls, SFTR aims to improve market oversight and reduce risks associated with securities lending and repurchase agreements.
Compliance with SFTR is imperative to ensure the submission of complete, accurate, and timely data to regulatory authorities, as well as essential for entities engaging in these transactions to uphold regulatory standards and ensure financial stability.
This online course is designed to foster a proactive approach to regulatory compliance, emphasizing the importance of diligence, accuracy, and responsiveness in meeting SFTR requirements and ensuring regulatory adherence.
