This unit explains how to use cost management, quality and process management and value management to provide organisations with cost advantage. You will learn the criteria, process and techniques that are used to decide which projects to undertake, how to manage the performance of organisational units to ensure that they achieve their objectives. Also, you will learn how to analyse risks and uncertainties that organisations face in the medium term, especially capital investment decision making, and managing those risks in the implementation of such decisions.

You must have completed the CIMA operational level.

- Managing the costs of creating value
- Capital investment decision making
- Managing and controlling the performance of organisational units
- Risk and control
On successful completion of this subject, you will learn:
- How to use cost management, quality and process management and value management to provide organisations with cost advantage.
- The criteria, process and techniques that are used to decide which projects to undertake, how to manage the performance of organisational units to ensure that they achieve their objectives.
- How to analyse risks and uncertainties that organisations face in the medium term, especially capital investment decision making, and managing those risks in the implementation of such decisions.
Assessment
- Format: computer based
- Availability: on demand at any of the 5,500 Pearson VUE centres around the world
- Pass: A score of 100 out of 150 will represent a Pass
- Length: 90 minutes
- Questions: Contains 60 objective test questions.
- Marking: computer marked
Results: provisional result available immediately followed by confirmation no more than 48 hours later.

Upon the successful completion of the subject Advanced Management Accounting – P2, you can advance to the next subject of the Advanced Diploma in Management Accounting or if you have already completed other subject, can apply to the final exam of Advanced Diploma in Management Accounting.
