ΠΕΡΙΓΡΑΦΗ

This expert professional development seminar provides school leaders and curriculum coordinators with the latest technology enhanced pedagogical approaches to successfully embed STREAMS processes across the K-12 curricula. Seminar attendees will have the opportunity to get hands-on with state-of-the-art technology recourses, apps (EdTech) and robust pedagogical instruction that promotes and supports effective cross curricular activities that integrate Science, Technology, Reading/ Writing, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics and Social Sciences into the curriculum. Innovation should create value. 

The undeniable value of this highly innovative seminar is to establish interdepartmental teacher collaboration and departmental alignments, so every teacher in the school will abandon the teaching in silos pedagogical approach and be working towards the seamless integration of the STREAMS processes as a school-wide strategy and approach.

ΣΚΟΠΟΣ ΣΕΜΙΝΑΡΙΟΥ

The objectives of the seminar are:

  • Develop Science, Reading/Writing Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics and Social Sciences transdisciplinary learning experiences.
  • Acknowledge the benefits and the importance of STREAMS education for schools, teachers and students.
  • Prepare teachers to abandon single discipline and teaching in silos learning and develop transdisciplinary and agile cross curricula learning plans and learning experiences.
  • Align Cypriot curricular standards with the STREAMS integrated lessons and assessments.
  • Establish interdepartmental teacher collaboration and departmental alignments.
  • Organize the STREAMS processes as a school-wide strategy and approach.
  • Include cross-curricular subject matter in a way that’s meaningful to students.
  • Develop problem-solving skills, encouraging creativity and collaboration, and preparing students for the future workforce.
  • Empower students to cooperate and create meaningful learning experiences
  • Use state of the art technologies to support lifelong and student-driven learning.
  • Acknowledge the critical characteristics in learning content and experiences to define high-quality learning.
  • Recognize that education systems need to be developed and continuously developing.

ΣΕ ΠΟΙΟΥΣ ΑΠΕΥΘΥΝΕΤΑΙ

This seminar will offer valuable insight to owners principals/managers, educational curriculum consultants and master trainers of private K-12 schools and institutes. Precedence will be given to those institutions that are approved by HRDA and or the Ministry of Education and Culture.

Consultation

After the 14-hour theoretical seminar, the trainer/expert will offer a 4-hour consultation to the participating companies. This dedicated time will provide personalized guidance on practically implementing the newly acquired knowledge, transforming the program into an invaluable, experience-driven journey.

Κυριάκος Χριστοδούλου - Head of R&D and Innovation

Kyriakos Christodoulou holds a BSc in Computer Science and a Master’s Degree in Innovation Management. He has been working in digital education projects at Digipro since 2011. He is primarily active in R&D on primary school curricula, developing partnerships with European institutions and agencies, participating in training and organising exhibitions, European seminars trainers education(Comenius and Grundtvig), online learning content authoring (Flash, HTML, Authoring tools), platform /web front-end design and development (HTML/CSS), education requirements analysis and design as well as alpha and beta testing.

Χρύσω Χριστοδούλου - Co-founder and CEO at Digipro

Ms. Chryso Christodoulou is the founder of FUNecole® Research Institute and the co-founder of Digipro® Computer Consultants. Her academic background is in Computer Science and Education. She is the designer and author of the FUNecole® for Cambridge ICT Starters Initial Steps endorsed by University of Cambridge International Examinations and recognized best practice educational approach by the European Commission. Ms. Christodoulou is an external educational expert for the Institute of Prospective Technological Studies (IPTS) on various educational research projects. She is a program committee member for the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers’ (IEEE) Computer society. Mrs Christodoulou participates as keynote speaker and panelist at numerous conferences, seminars and workshops around the world. Ms. Christodoulou´s work has been published in scholarly and policy publications, such as IEEE Xplore and the European Parliament Magazine. She is a recognized as an entrepreneurship expert by OECD and is one of 350 European Ambassadors of Entrepreneurship.
